(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A Jamestown man was taken into custody late Friday night after police responded to a disorderly person complaint and alleged violations of an order of protection.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers were dispatched to a south side address at approximately 11:41 p.m. on March 20, 2026. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Marcus A. McAffee, 36, and a nearby resident identified as the victim.

Police reported that their investigation determined McAffee allegedly made verbal threats toward the victim. Authorities also stated that the victim had a valid refrain-from order of protection in place against McAffee at the time of the incident.

McAffee was taken into custody at the scene without incident. He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment.

He has been charged with Criminal Contempt in the First Degree and Harassment in the Second Degree. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
