(WNY News Now) – OLEAN, N.Y. — A 42-year-old Olean woman was charged with criminal trespass after allegedly entering a Walmart store from which she had previously been banned, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.

The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office reported that Alicia M. Vaughn, 42, of Olean, was arrested on March 29, 2026, at approximately 11:30 a.m. following a complaint at the Walmart located at 1 Leo Moss Drive.

Deputies said their investigation determined that Vaughn had entered the store despite being issued a prior ban from the property in 2024. As a result, she was charged with one count of Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree under New York State Penal Law.

Authorities released Vaughn with an appearance ticket. She is scheduled to appear in court at a later date to answer the charge. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
