(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY — Two Jamestown women were arrested early Friday morning after a physical altercation on the city’s east side left both parties injured.

Jamestown Police responded at approximately 4:47 a.m. to an east side residence following reports of a fight. Officers determined that 19-year-old Samaria J. Cruz and 32-year-old Marilyn J. Freeman, both Jamestown residents, were involved in a physical confrontation resulting in injuries to each woman.

Both Cruz and Freeman were taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. Each is facing charges of Assault in the Third Degree and is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
