(WNY News Now) – OLEAN, N.Y. — A 47-year-old Olean man was taken into custody Monday evening on multiple probation violation warrants and remanded to jail following arraignment, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
Roman T. Gabriel was arrested at approximately 5:10 p.m. on April 6, 2026, after coming into contact with the Olean Police Department. Authorities reported that Gabriel had multiple active warrants issued out of Olean City Court for violations of probation.
Following his arrest, Gabriel was processed and arraigned in Olean City Court. He was subsequently remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail, where he remains in custody pending further court proceedings. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
