(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A Jamestown man was taken into custody Friday evening after police responded to a reported domestic dispute involving property damage and an alleged violation of a court order.
According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the 2nd Platoon were dispatched at approximately 7:52 p.m. on April 10, 2026, to a residence on the city’s southwest side after receiving a report of a woman screaming for help.
Following an investigation, officers determined that Dustin D. Smouse, 30, of Jamestown, allegedly damaged multiple household items during a domestic dispute. Police reported that the incident involved an individual who has an active no-offensive-contact order of protection against Smouse.
Smouse was taken into custody at the scene without further incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
He has been charged with Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree and Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree.
Smouse was held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
