(WNY News Now) – SALAMANCA, N.Y. — A Cold Spring man was arrested Friday afternoon on a warrant following an investigation into a reported violation of an order of protection, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies report that Charles E. Green III, 51, of 523 S Loop, Cold Spring, was taken into custody at approximately 12:59 p.m. on April 10, 2026. The arrest was executed on a warrant issued after authorities investigated an alleged violation of an existing order of protection.
Green has been charged with Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree. According to deputies, Green was processed without incident following his arrest. He was later arraigned in the Town of Salamanca court.
Authorities state that Green was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date to respond to the charge. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
