(WNY News Now) – A 29-year-old woman was issued an appearance ticket after deputies investigated a reported shoplifting incident at a Town of Dunkirk grocery store Monday evening.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of shoplifting at a Tops grocery store located on Vineyard Drive in the Town of Dunkirk on April 20, 2026, at approximately 6:20 p.m.

According to deputies, the suspect was identified as Dominique A. White, 29. Following an investigation, authorities allege that White took merchandise from the store without paying for it.

White was charged with petit larceny in connection with the incident. She was released at the scene and issued an appearance ticket.

She is scheduled to answer the charge at a later date in the Town of Dunkirk Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
