(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A narcotics investigation in Jamestown led to the seizure of significant quantities of illegal drugs and the arrest of three individuals following the execution of a search warrant on Norwood Avenue.

Authorities say the search warrant was executed at approximately 11:22 a.m. on May 1 at 17 Norwood Ave. by narcotics investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Jamestown Police Department, and Town of Ellicott Police Department.

Prior to the warrant being carried out, investigators observed Tysean L. Mays, 20, leaving the residence. He was stopped a short distance away by Jamestown police. Inside the residence, officers located Samantha L. Harley, 34, and Kody J. Scott, 20, both of Jamestown.

During the search, investigators seized approximately 67 grams of fentanyl, 27.6 grams of crack cocaine, and 93.4 grams of methamphetamine. Authorities also reported finding scales, packaging materials commonly associated with narcotics distribution, and $605 in cash.

All three individuals—Mays, Harley, and Scott—have been charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree, four counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree.

The accused are scheduled to be arraigned in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Law enforcement agencies continue to encourage community members to report suspected narcotics activity. Tips can be provided to local departments, including the Jamestown Police Department and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.
