(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown man was taken into custody Thursday evening after police reportedly identified him as being wanted by authorities in Pennsylvania.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers were on patrol on the north side of Jamestown at approximately 7:29 p.m. on May 14, 2026, when they observed 40-year-old Esteban S. Cordova, a Jamestown resident, who was known to be wanted by the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office in Pennsylvania.

Police said Cordova was arrested and charged as a Fugitive from Justice. He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

Authorities said Cordova is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court and extradition proceedings. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
