(WNY News Now) – FREWSBURG, N.Y. — A 45-year-old man has been charged following a reported burglary in progress at a Frewsburg manufacturing facility, according to the Town of Carroll Police Department.
On May 14, 2026, at approximately 4:50 p.m., the Town of Carroll Police Department was dispatched to the Ethan Allen factory building, Frewsburg located at 36 Railroad Ave in Frewsburg, New York, for a report of a burglary in progress.
Upon arrival and following an investigation, officers determined that James R. Wall, 45, was allegedly involved in the incident.
Authorities charged Wall with the following offenses:
- Burglary in the third degree
- Criminal mischief in the fourth degree
- Petit larceny
- Possession of burglar’s tools
Police reported that the investigation concluded Wall had allegedly entered the property unlawfully and caused damage while attempting to commit theft-related offenses.
Following the investigation, Wall was taken into custody by the Town of Carroll Police Department and transported for processing. He was later transferred to the Chautauqua County Jail pending arraignment.
The arrest was made with assistance from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.
Wall is scheduled to appear before the Centralized Arraignment Program, where the charges will be formally reviewed. All charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
