(WNY News Now) – A 45-year-old Jamestown resident was arrested Friday afternoon after police investigated an assault on the city’s north side that reportedly left a victim with serious physical injuries.
According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the department’s 1st Platoon responded to a reported assault at approximately 1:01 p.m. on May 22, 2026.
Police said officers arrived at the scene and spoke with the victim before conducting an investigation into the incident. Authorities allege that Wade S. Pfleuger, 45, of Jamestown, became involved in a verbal dispute with the victim over property.
During the altercation, Pfleuger allegedly punched the victim multiple times, causing serious physical injury, according to police.
Officers located Pfleuger at the scene and took him into custody without incident. He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail and charged with second-degree assault.
Pfleuger was being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
