(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A 22-year-old Olean resident was charged with driving while intoxicated after allegedly crashing into a parked vehicle in Jamestown early Saturday morning, according to police.
Jamestown Police officers from the 3rd Platoon responded to the area of East Second Street and Weeks Street at approximately 1:40 a.m. on May 17 for a reported motor vehicle accident.
Following an investigation, officers determined that Jhon Loja-Lopez, 22, of Olean, allegedly struck a parked car while operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Police took Loja-Lopez into custody and transported him to the Jamestown City Jail. He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While Intoxicated Per Se.
Loja-Lopez was later arraigned in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
