(WNY News Now) – A Sinclairville man is facing multiple charges after Chautauqua County deputies allegedly observed a traffic violation in the Town of Stockton late Thursday night.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, deputies on road patrol conducted a traffic stop at approximately 10:16 p.m. on May 21, 2026, in Stockton, New York. Following a roadside investigation, deputies determined that the driver, 40-year-old Mitchell G. Hoinski of Sinclairville, was allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Authorities said Hoinski was taken into custody and transported to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office for processing.
Hoinski was later released with traffic tickets charging him with speeding over 55 mph, driving while intoxicated (DWI), and DWI per se.
He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Stockton Court at a later date to answer the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
