(WNY News Now) – A 56-year-old Angola resident was charged with driving while intoxicated after a late-night traffic stop in the Town of Westfield, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies reported that the stop occurred on Route 394 at approximately 11:13 p.m. on May 22, 2026. Authorities said the vehicle was pulled over after the driver allegedly failed to dim the vehicle’s headlights for oncoming traffic.

The driver was identified as Tammy Moore, 56, of Angola. Following an investigation, deputies determined Moore was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated.

Moore was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), DWI Per Se, and failing to dim headlights. She was processed and later released with appearance tickets.

The case is scheduled to be handled in the Town of Westfield Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
