(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A Jamestown man was arrested and charged with Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation following a domestic dispute investigation on the city’s west side, according to the Jamestown Police Department.
Officers with the Jamestown Police Department Third Platoon responded to a residence on the west side of the city at approximately 6:15 a.m. on May 27, 2026, after receiving a report of a domestic dispute.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with David D. Lindsay, 37, of Jamestown. Following an investigation, police determined that Lindsay allegedly applied pressure to the victim’s neck and throat area during the incident.
Lindsay was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
He was charged with one count of Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation. Lindsay was held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
The charge is an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
