(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Four people were taken into custody early Monday morning following a traffic stop on Jamestown’s south side that led to a driving while impaired by drugs investigation and the discovery of controlled substances, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

Police said officers from the department’s 3rd Platoon conducted a traffic stop at approximately 2:34 a.m. on June 15. The driver was identified as Lawrence L. Boughton, 55, of Falconer. A search conducted during the investigation reportedly found Webb in possession of Suboxone and a quantity of methamphetamine. Webb was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree.

Boughton was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs (DWAI-Drugs) and additional vehicle and traffic violations. Bemis and Dean were arrested on their outstanding bench warrants.

All four individuals were transported to the Jamestown City Jail and held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

The charges are accusations, and all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
