(WNY News Now) – A Celoron resident faces multiple charges after a traffic stop in the Town of Ellicott led to a driving while intoxicated investigation, according to police.
The Town of Ellicott Police Department reported that Jacob R. Neckers, 38, of Celoron, was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree, and several traffic violations following a vehicle stop on June 12, 2026.
Police said officers conducted the traffic stop at approximately 12:24 p.m. after observing an alleged traffic violation. During the investigation, officers determined that Neckers was allegedly operating the vehicle while under the influence of drugs.
According to police, Neckers was also found in possession of a scale containing suspected narcotics and other drug paraphernalia.
Neckers was issued traffic tickets and an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to respond to the charges.
The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
