(WNY News Now) – Dunkirk police are investigating two robberies that occurred within minutes of each other on June 16 and believe the same suspect may be responsible for both incidents.
The Dunkirk Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect connected to two robberies that occurred on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.
According to police, the first robbery was reported at approximately 1:16 p.m. at the Family Dollar store located at 168 E. 4th Street in Dunkirk. About 20 minutes later, a second robbery occurred at Crosby Mart, located at 106 Central Avenue.
Investigators believe the same individual committed both crimes. Surveillance images from the two locations have been released in an effort to identify the suspect.

Police said the suspect claimed to possess a firearm during both incidents, although no weapon was displayed.
The investigation remains active, and no arrests have been announced. Authorities are encouraging anyone who may recognize the suspect or have information related to the incidents to contact the Dunkirk Police Department at (716) 366-2266.
