(WNY News Now) – A 44-year-old Jamestown resident was charged with multiple offenses after a traffic stop on the city’s north side during the early morning hours of June 17, according to the Jamestown Police Department.
On June 17, 2026, at approximately 1:20 a.m., officers with the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon conducted a traffic stop on the north side of Jamestown.
According to police, an investigation following the stop determined that the driver, Radon F. Wright, 44, of Jamestown, was operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Wright was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail without incident. He was issued Uniform Traffic Tickets charging him with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Intoxicated Per Se, Consumption of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle, and Speed in Zone.
Police reported that Wright was later released to a sober party and is scheduled to answer the charges in Jamestown City Court.
All charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
