(WNY News Now) – A 24-year-old Jamestown resident was charged with petit larceny after a reported shoplifting incident at a Town of Ellicott retail store on June 12.
ELLICOTT, N.Y. — The Town of Ellicott Police Department reported that Brooke M. Soldano, 24, of Jamestown, was charged with petit larceny following a shoplifting investigation at Target on June 12, 2026.
According to police, officers responded to a larceny complaint at approximately 9:29 p.m. at the retail store. Investigators allege that Soldano passed all points of sale while concealing merchandise that had not been purchased.
Soldano was taken into custody and processed by the Town of Ellicott Police Department. She was later released with an appearance ticket.
Police said Soldano is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to answer the charge. The charge is an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
