(WNY News Now) – A 32-year-old woman was taken into custody early Tuesday on Jamestown’s east side after officers attempted to arrest her on active bench warrants, according to the Jamestown Police Department.
JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Jamestown Police arrested Nicole L. Hixson, 32, at approximately 12:30 a.m. on July 22, 2026, following an encounter on the city’s east side.
According to police, officers on routine patrol observed Hixson walking in the area and were aware she had active bench warrants. Officers conducted a street check and informed her of the warrants.
Police said Hixson then fled on foot but was quickly apprehended by officers without further incident.
Hixson was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. In addition to the active bench warrants, she was charged with Resisting Arrest.
She is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
As with all criminal charges, the allegations are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
