(WNY News Now) – A 24-year-old Jamestown man faces federal charges after investigators reportedly recovered suspected fentanyl, a firearm and ammunition during a search of a Bush Street residence.

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Dasai Bradberry, 24, of Jamestown, has been charged by criminal complaint with possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking crimes, according to U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo.

The charges stem from a search conducted Aug. 4, 2025, by the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force at a Bush Street residence associated with Bradberry.

According to the criminal complaint, investigators recovered a semi-automatic rifle, ammunition, approximately 22 grams of suspected fentanyl, Oxycodone pills, $1,303 in cash and drug paraphernalia during the search.

Bradberry made an initial appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeremiah J. McCarthy and was detained pending trial.

If convicted, the federal charges carry a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison and a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.

The case is part of the Homeland Security Task Force initiative, a federal law enforcement effort targeting criminal organizations and drug trafficking operations.

The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration and Jamestown Police Department. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua A. Violanti.

Bradberry was charged by criminal complaint. The allegations have not been proven in court, and he is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
