(WNY News Now) – Two Jamestown women were charged with petit larceny after Town of Ellicott police investigated an alleged shoplifting incident at a local business.

Town of Ellicott police charged Crystal A. Finstad, 23, and Christina M. Finstad, 59, both of Jamestown, with Petit Larceny on July 29, 2026.

According to police, officers responded to a local business after the two women allegedly took store merchandise and left without paying.

Police issued both women appearance tickets. They are scheduled to appear in Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to answer the charges.

The allegations have not been proven in court. Both defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
