(WNY News Now) – A 59-year-old Jamestown woman was arrested early Tuesday after police said she was riding a bicycle that had previously been reported stolen.

Jamestown Police officers were patrolling the area of North Main Street and East Fifth Street at about 1:06 a.m. on Aug. 11 when they observed Anna M. Raynor, 59, riding a bicycle officers knew had been reported stolen, according to police.

Officers conducted a street check and took Raynor into custody without incident.

Raynor was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where she was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fifth Degree.

She was held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. The charge is an allegation, and Raynor is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
