(WNY News Now) – A 37-year-old Jamestown woman was arrested Thursday night after local officers located her on a warrant related to a 2023 assault case in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Officers with the Jamestown Police Department and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office were conducting a joint GIVE detail when they responded to a West Side address at about 10 p.m. on August 13 for a warrant investigation.
Police identified the woman as Lisa M. Weaver, 37, of Jamestown. Officers took Weaver into custody at the location.
According to police, Weaver was wanted in Erie, Pennsylvania, in connection with a 2023 assault.
Weaver was transported to the Jamestown City Jail and charged with Fugitive From Justice.
She was held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. Extradition proceedings are also expected.
The charge is an allegation, and Weaver is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
