(WNY News Now) – A 21-year-old Jamestown woman was charged with DWI following a traffic stop early Saturday morning, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

Jamestown police conducted a traffic stop at about 12:05 a.m. Aug. 15 at the intersection of Allen Street and Maple Street.

Officers determined during a subsequent investigation that the driver, Alyshialynn Ryan, 21, of Jamestown, was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated.

Ryan was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail for processing. She was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and additional traffic violations.

Ryan was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

The charges are allegations, and Ryan is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
