(WNY News Now) – A 30-year-old Jamestown man was arrested Sunday after police said he damaged a parked tractor-trailer while allegedly attempting to steal its radiator at an east-side business.

Jamestown Police officers responded to a criminal mischief complaint at an east-side business at about 7:30 a.m. Sunday, August 23.

According to police, officers located Zachary A. Graves, 30, fleeing the area on foot along railroad tracks. A subsequent investigation determined that Graves allegedly caused substantial damage to a parked tractor-trailer while attempting to remove its radiator.

Graves was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

He was charged with Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, Attempted Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, Possession of Burglar Tools, and Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree related to the railroad property.

Graves was being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. The charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
