(WNY News Now) – A 24-year-old Silver Creek man died after a single-vehicle crash on Route 20 in the Town of Sheridan on Saturday afternoon, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash occurred at about 2:52 p.m. on August 22, 2026, when deputies located a vehicle that had left the roadway on Route 20.

An investigation determined that the vehicle was traveling westbound and was operated by Andre Rosario, 24, of Silver Creek.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Rosario lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway and crash.

Rosario was transported by emergency medical services for treatment of his injuries. He later died from injuries sustained in the crash.

The incident remains documented as a fatal motor vehicle accident. No criminal charges were listed in the information released by the Sheriff’s Office.
