(WNY News Now) – A 26-year-old Jamestown man was arrested after the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported altercation Tuesday morning in the Town of Carroll.

Deputies responded to an address on Carlberg Road at about 6:30 a.m. Aug. 25 for a reported altercation.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Jordan M. Beardsley was involved in a physical altercation with a person protected by an order of protection.

Beardsley was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, second-degree aggravated harassment and second-degree harassment.

He was taken into custody and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment in the Town of Carroll Court.

The charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
