(WNY News Now) – A 44-year-old Jamestown woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after a single-vehicle crash in the Town of Ellicott on Aug. 7, according to police.

Town of Ellicott police responded to a reported single-vehicle accident on Aug. 7, 2026. Police said Jessica McCleary, 44, of Jamestown, was allegedly driving while intoxicated when her vehicle crashed into a tree.

McCleary was taken into custody and later transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

She was charged with driving while intoxicated. McCleary is scheduled to appear in Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to answer the charge.

The charge is an allegation, and McCleary is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
