(WNY News Now) – A 21-year-old Kennedy man was charged with aggravated DWI and several other offenses following a vehicle complaint and traffic stop on Route 430 in the Town of Chautauqua, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a vehicle complaint on Route 430 at about 4:52 p.m. Sept. 4, 2026, and located the vehicle in the Town of Chautauqua.
The operator was identified as Jack E. Wyant, 21, of Kennedy. Following an investigation, deputies determined that Wyant was allegedly driving while intoxicated.
Wyant was charged with aggravated DWI, DWI, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, speeding in a posted zone, and consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle.
Wyant was taken into custody and is scheduled to return to Town of Chautauqua Court at a later date.
The charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
