(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown woman was arrested after police said a domestic dispute resulted in property damage and a threat involving a knife.

Jamestown police officers responded to an east-side address around 12:35 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, for a reported domestic dispute.

According to police, an investigation determined that Jacob F. Harris, 28, damaged a door while arguing with a partner.

Police also alleged that Harris threatened a third party with a knife during the dispute.

Harris was arrested without incident and taken to the Jamestown City Jail. She was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree menacing.

Harris was initially reported as being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. Police later reported that she was arraigned and released.

The charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
