(WNY News Now) – A 24-year-old Jamestown woman was arrested Saturday after police said she violated an order of protection on the city’s West Side.
Jamestown Police officers responded to a West Side address at about 12:10 p.m. Sept. 12 for a reported order of protection violation in progress.
According to police, officers determined that Jaylise S. Calderon, 24, of Jamestown, was at the location in violation of an order of protection that required her to stay away from a male victim who was at the scene.
Police also determined Calderon had an outstanding arrest warrant from a previous incident. That warrant included charges of second-degree burglary, petit larceny and second-degree criminal contempt.
Additionally, police said Calderon was wanted for another count of second-degree criminal contempt stemming from an incident earlier that same day.
Officers took Calderon into custody at the scene and transported her to the Jamestown City Jail.
She is now charged with second-degree burglary, petit larceny and three counts of second-degree criminal contempt.
Calderon was being held at the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
The charges are allegations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
