(WNY News Now) – A 41-year-old Westfield man was taken into custody following an investigation into a reported altercation in the town on Sept. 11.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded around 8 p.m. Friday to a report of a past altercation in the Town of Westfield.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the investigation determined that Larry M. Houser, 41, of Westfield, allegedly subjected another person to unwanted physical contact and prevented the person from contacting emergency services.

Houser was taken into custody and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

He was charged with second-degree harassment and fourth-degree criminal mischief, according to the incident report. The charges are allegations, and Houser is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
