(WNY News Now) – A 43-year-old Jamestown woman was arrested Sunday after police say a traffic stop on the city’s east side led to the recovery of methamphetamine and packaging materials.

Jamestown Police officers with the First Platoon conducted the traffic stop at about 9:14 a.m. Sept. 13 near East Sixth and Lincoln streets.

Police identified the driver as Anne E. Robbins, 43, of Jamestown. Officers said they knew Robbins’ New York State driving privileges were suspended.

According to police, the traffic stop resulted in the recovery of a quantity of methamphetamine and packaging materials.

Robbins was taken to the Jamestown City Jail, where she was being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

She faces charges of:

• Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree
• Criminal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree
• Improper Plates
• Uninspected Motor Vehicle
• Unregistered Motor Vehicle
• Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Second Degree

The charges are allegations, and Robbins is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
