(WNY News Now) – An 18-year-old Jamestown man was taken into custody Thursday during a probation warrant check and was additionally charged with criminal contempt, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

Jamestown police arrested Caleb E. Dellahoy, 18, of Jamestown, on Sept. 17 after officers assisted probation officers with a warrant check on the city’s East side.

According to police, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s First Platoon responded to an address at about 11:33 a.m. and made contact with Dellahoy.

Police said Dellahoy was taken into custody without incident on outstanding arrest and bench warrants issued through Jamestown City Court.

During the investigation, officers determined that Dellahoy was allegedly in the presence of a person protected by a stay-away order of protection.

He was subsequently charged with second-degree criminal contempt.

Dellahoy was being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

The charges are allegations, and the defendant is considered innocent unless proven guilty in court.
