(WNY News Now) – A 33-year-old Cherry Creek woman was charged with DWI after Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies stopped an RV following a vehicle complaint on Spoden Road in Pomfret.

According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a vehicle complaint on Spoden Road at about 6:03 a.m. Sept. 19, 2026. Deputies located the reported vehicle, described as an RV motor home, and conducted a traffic stop.

The operator was identified as Caitlin R. Lupino, 33, of Cherry Creek. The sheriff’s office said an investigation determined that Lupino was allegedly driving while intoxicated.

Lupino was taken into custody and transported to the Pomfret substation for processing.

She was charged with DWI, DWI per se, aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, no or insufficient tail lamps, no distinctive plates, operating without insurance, operating an uninspected motor vehicle, moving from a lane unsafely, failing to comply with a lawful order, operating with distorted or broken visibility glass, and failing to cover loose cargo.

The case is scheduled to return to Town of Pomfret Court at a later date.

Charges are accusations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
