(WNY News Now) – A 25-year-old Jamestown man was taken into custody after police say a traffic stop led to the discovery of an outstanding warrant from Warren, Pennsylvania.

Jamestown Police arrested Frank A. Strohauer, 25, of Jamestown, on a felony charge of Fugitive from Justice following a traffic stop Friday evening.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the 2nd Platoon conducted a traffic stop at about 6:53 p.m. Sept. 25 in the area of Allen Street and Institute Street after observing a traffic infraction.

During the investigation, officers identified Strohauer as a passenger in the vehicle. Police said they determined he had an outstanding warrant from Warren, Pennsylvania.

Strohauer was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

He was charged with Fugitive from Justice, a felony, and was being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

The charge is an allegation, and Strohauer is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
