(WNY News Now) – Jamestown police arrested a 40-year-old man following a reported domestic dispute on the city’s Eastside, authorities said.

Officers with the Jamestown Police Department’s 1st Platoon responded to an Eastside address at about 11:12 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28, for a reported domestic incident.

According to police, officers determined that Corey P. Bryant, 40, allegedly pushed and struck a female victim during a verbal dispute.

Police said the woman had a valid order of protection against Bryant at the time of the incident.

Bryant was taken into custody and charged with Criminal Contempt in the First Degree, a felony.

He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where police said he remained held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

The charge is an allegation, and Bryant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
