JAMESTOWN – A 29-year old Jamestown man is facing drug charges following a traffic stop on Washington at West Fifth Streets early Thursday morning.

Eric D. Knisley was allegedly in possession of heroin after being pulled over for an inoperable headlamp. Police reported that he made an improper left hand turn and was recklessly driving.

Knisley was taken into custody to provide a field sobriety test, which police said he failed.

Knisley is facing four charges; no/ inadequate headlamp, improper left turn, driving while ability impaired by drugs (felony), and one count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance .

Knisley was also convicted in 2016 on another account of DWAI Drugs. He is being held in the City Jail, pending arraignment.
