Jamestown Teen Charged With Menacing, Drug Possession

JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man allegedly fled from police on foot during a response to a menacing call involving a threat with a pistol Friday morning in the area of McKinley Avenue at Charles Street, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

Police said the victim attempted to flee from suspect Alex K. Johnson, 18, when he reportedly backed his vehicle into a telephone pole at the location.

Johnson allegedly failed to comply with officers, and police deployed a taser to safely arrest him.

Johnson allegedly possessed a 9mm pistol along with a quantity of hydrocodone and Zanex. Johnson was transported to Jamestown City Jail to await arraignment, and he’s charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, menacing, obstructing governmental administration and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
