Rebels To Have Home Stretch, And Spend Time With Fans

JAMESTOWN – Tonight, with a 7:05 puck drop, the Jamestown Rebels will begin a two-game home stretch against the Maryland Black Bears.

The Rebels are currently in second place in the East Division with 49 points, 15 points behind the Johnstown Tomahawks.

Forward Alex Frye leads the Rebels in scoring with 38 points, scoring a team-high 22 goals, and tacking on a team-high 16 assists.











Frye was also an honorable mention for the North American Hockey League (NAHL) East Division Star of the Week on Tuesday after totaling four points in his last two games.

Rebels goaltender, Ryan Keane, has gone 17-7-1 in between the pipes thus far in the season. Keane has a 0.925 save percentage and has allowed only 1.86 goals/game.

Keane was also an honorable mention for the NAHL East Division Star of the Week after posting a shutout victory against the New Jersey Titans last Saturday, saving all 32 shots faced. It was Keane’s third shutout win of the season.









Antonio Venuto has chipped in with both scoring ability, and toughness. The Dexter, MI native has scored 16 points in 30 games played, tallying 10 goals and six assists.

Venuto is also fourth on the team with 37 penalty minutes.

Frisco, TX. native, Connor Linton currently leads the Rebels in penalty minutes with 45.

The Black Bears are in fifth in the East Division with 31 points, just a single point ahead of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights.





















The Black Bears, however, have won their last two games.

Connor Pooley, a native of Dublin, OH, leads the Black Bears with 31 points, scoring a team-leading 11 goals, along with a team-leading 20 assists.

West Caldwell, NJ native, David Tomeo, has gone 9-14-2 in between the pipes for Maryland in 30 games played. Tomeo has a 0.913 save percentage and is allowing 3.31 goals/game

There is also an opportunity which Rebels fans do not want to miss. At the conclusion of Saturday night’s game, fans will have an opportunity to skate with the Jamestown Rebels players.

With a valid game ticket, fans will receive a free pair of skates.

There will be opportunities for fans to receive autographs and take photos with the Rebel players.

Puck drop for Saturday’s game will also be at 7:05.
