JAMESTOWN – Students at Bush Elementary School recently worked hard to fight heart disease as part of the Kids Heart Challenge, formerly known as Jump Rope for Heart.

Bush Elementary Physical Education Teacher Jay Grann, in a video posted on the Jamestown Public Schools Facebook page, said the event was created to keep kids involved in heart healthy actives and to promote a healthy diet while raising money for a great cause.

“We started the event around two and a half weeks ago with most of it (the fundraising) has been done online which is great,” said Grann. “Some have brought in check today all going to the American Heart Association.”

Over the past ten years students at Bush Elementary have raised over $20,000 during the event.
