MAYVILLE – A Jamestown man is facing charges after Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated a report of a man with an illegal weapon.

Randall K. Mesler Jr., 19, of Jamestown, is charged with felony third-degree weapon possession after deputies found an electric stun gun allegedly in his possession.

The incident happened at 5 p.m. Tuesday in Mayville.

  1. Why is this being posted? He’s clearly already in jail… this would have been when he was picked up for the drugs. I’m confused as to why there is a whole new post for ONE more charge.

  2. Probably because a federal judge just ruled that NYS Stun Gun law was unconstitutional!

    1. Stun guns are legal in NY per Federal Judge. Apparently the cops did not get the memo or there was more to this story than misleading headlines.
