
RIPLEY – Several barn animals were killed during a barn fire at 9034 Belson Rd., just after 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

According to the Ripley Fire Department’s Facebook page the barn was fully engulfed when crews arrived.
Firefighters from Ripley, South Ripley, Sherman, Westfield, Portland and East Dunkirk worked to keep the blaze away from other structures nearby.
In total, a pig and two chickens died during the blaze. The barn is a total loss.

Fire investigators are now looking into what caused the blaze.
