Trial For Man Charged In Jamestown Rape Adjourned

MAYVILLE – The jury selection and rape trial for Conewango man Dennis Park, Jr., charged with first-degree rape and two counts of first-degree criminal sexual act, has been adjourned, a Chautauqua County Court Clerk told WNYNewsNow Monday morning.

The clerk, however, said that a new date wasn’t scheduled as of publish time. In addition, the clerk didn’t know the reasoning for the adjournment.

Park is accused of sexually assaulting a woman at knife-point during an incident last July on Marion Street in the City of Jamestown. Park previously served time in the Gowanda Correctional Facility for first-degree rape, according to the New York State Correctional Database.

WNYNewsNow has reached out to the offices of the Chautauqua County Public Defender and District Attorney. Both offices, however, haven’t been reached as of publish time.
