ASHVILLE – A local Ashville family’s home remodel featured on a nationally renowned military home renovation show is hitting the airwaves.

Lifetime’s Military Makeover with Montel Williams aired the first episode of the Willett’s story last week. WNYNewsNow caught up with JDog Junk Removal & Hauling Buffalo South’s Scott Seiberg who worked on the local remodel.

Seiberg said it was an amazing experience to help remodel the Willett’s home. The Air Force Veteran explained that his crew’s primary mission was to demo the house.

“We’re junk removal specialists,” said Seiberg. “We take care of all of the debris, demolition. Every house in the country has stuff they don’t want anymore, so when we go in and do a Military Makeover there is a lot of stuff that we need to get rid of to make room for their new things.”

In addition to the demo, Seiberg’s team stuck around to help with yard work and painting duties.

“I was trimming bushes, painting walls. The whole JDog team was just doing whatever we could to help, and I can’t wait to see the results,” said Seiberg. “I can’t wait to see the results because not everything was finished when we walked out of there.”

Seiberg said JDog Junk Removal & Hauling Buffalo South tries to help veterans find a sense of purpose when they return to civilian life.

“We (veterans) are action-oriented, we want an objective, we want to go out there, get it done, and help people,” said Seiberg. “That’s why I got into it, to help myself and other people have a sense of purpose and do something great.”

Seiberg also said he is looking forward to seeing the Willett’s reaction to the makeover. For more, and to watch the first episode featuring the Willetts, go to MilitaryMakeover.tv.
