JAMESTOWN – The new management of the Jamestown Jammers, Jamestown Community Baseball, LLC, will officially lease Russell E. Diethrick, Jr. Park following a lease ceremony establishing the group as the primary tenant of the ballfield Monday.

Officials announced the new ownership in April after a nearly six-month search following ROC Ventures (the former owner of the Jammers) sudden cease of operations in October.

The Jammers 2020 team will be managed by Jordan Basile, a Jamestown native who is presently serving as the Head Coach at Patrick Henry Community College in Martinsville, Virginia.

Jamestown Community Baseball, LLC, is a membership organization operating under a subscription-based model. A seven-member board of directors, led by Jamestown’s “Mr. Baseball” Russell E. Diethrick, Jr., already has several investors pledging their support for the future of baseball in Jamestown.

The Jammers are set to play in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League in June 2020.
