City Housing Issues Among Topics Discussed During Sundquist Meet-And-Greet

JAMESTOWN – The Democrat candidate for City of Jamestown Mayor held his first major meet-and-greet at the newly opened brewery in Downtown Jamestown Thursday evening.

Eddie Sundquist told WNYNewsNow more than 100 people turned out to share their ideas with the candidate. Many told Sundquist they are concerned with improving housing around the city.

“We are really focusing on three major things, the first one being just dealing with the housing stock that we have in the city,” said Sundquist. “Working with residents to make necessary repairs, also to take properties that may not need to be condemned and get them sold to people who are willing to make necessary repairs.











Sundquist also said, if elected, he would push to bring information technology jobs to Jamestown. He said the city already has incredible resources and space to develop an IT hub.

The candidate additionally said he wants to foster an environment to keep the “best and brightest” in the area.
