Police Release Name Of Wednesday Stabbing Victim

FALCONER – Ellicott Police released the name of the victim in Wednesday night’s stabbing near the Bullfrog Hotel.

Ellicott Police Officer Dan Leighton told WNYNewsNow that the victim’s name is Randy Woodmansee, Jr. Woodmansee, Jr. was sent to UPMC Chautauqua and later UPMC Hamot for injuries sustained in the stabbing, which he said occurred during an altercation between an unnamed male suspect and Woodmansee, Jr. in a dirt parking lot located across the street from the hotel.

Leighton said Woodmansee, Jr. is still in UPMC Hamot, but did not have an update on his condition.











Leighton said the investigation is ongoing, and investigators are talking to witnesses. The officer added that no one is currently in custody and no charges have been filed.

In addition, Leighton said he was unable to comment on a motive.
